CHAD International, in partnership with the International Rescue Committee (IRC) Under the Education in Emergencies project funded by the European Union (EU), has reached a major milestone in our mission to bring out-of-school children back into the classroom.

Throughout December 2025, our teams conducted a series of strategic distributions across the Gadamayo, Hausari, and REB learning centers. By providing uniforms, bags, notebooks, and teaching aids,.

Strengthening the ABEP Program

The Accelerated Basic Education Program (ABEP) Cohort 2 has seen significant progress. On December 8th, our distribution at the Gadamayo ABEP Center reached 258 learners. This followed successful distributions at REB and Hausari B earlier in the month.

To date, we have reached 1,017 ABEP learners (468 male, 549 female). This represents 65.2% of our total enrollment goal for this cohort, ensuring that over a thousand students are now equipped with the tools required for academic success.

Supporting Remedial Learners

Parallel to the ABEP efforts, our Remedial Learning Program has seen even higher coverage rates. Distributions held between December 3rd and 4th across all three centers have equipped 367 remedial learners (197 male, 170 female).

This accounts for 81.5% of the total remedial enrollment, providing a critical boost to students who need extra support to catch up with their peers.
